check out that power mullet. weird, in 1990, mullets were not cool by any segment of the club population, unlike "fashion mullets" of the past 5 years...
this video with its crowd shots really captures the essence of the early UK scene just post acid-house and right before hardcore hit, but you could see the hardcore element creeping in (check out the brief snippet of dancer footage from 2:17 - 2:19 -- trust me it's very brief and very "prodigy" when they were doing hardcore at the time)

great tune, bad video...
this video is really, really low budget, but the tune is great hardcore rave styleee...
"the theme" by the house crew from the artist known as the house crew (although this definitely wasn't considered "house music" at the time, it's definitely hardcore rave)...

for those wondering, 99% of these videos that have MTV listed on them were NEVER played on MTV america. this one has the MTV.co.uk on there. so don't worry, you weren't missing out on these videos -- none of us saw them here in america unfortunately...
but now we can. i love the internetz...

Ok, so this was probably on U.S. MTV -- WHFS even used to actually play this during the day back in summer of '92...
Even WPGC back then played "Nightmare" by Kid Unknown with it's Ice-T sample. Yes, they played hardcore for about a month back in '92 on WPGC...
